Custom Home Theatre RoomHave you ever seen those old movies or shows, that show a milkman making a visit to your home, a well known local repairman helping you out, or a family physician making a house call for a sick child (and not charging you an "arm and a leg" for the visit)? Maybe you're old enough to remember that yourself, or heard that from people that lived during those times (or you live in "Pleasantville"), ... but wouldn't it be
great to find good honest people that you can count on for such things? People that work hard for a good and honest living, listen to your thoughts and suggestions, while providing good feedback, ... and then on top of that, put in a lot of hours and don't bill you until you're satisfied with the work that has been accomplished to date (especially for long projects). Well, ... Rex is one of those people. When I first proposed my project ideas to Rex, there were a couple of things that he initially thought he wouldn't be able to produce according to my specs (such as the column bases and capitals), but in the end, he found a way to do it, as he made a sample column to present to me before starting work. And the results?, ... I guess there's no need to say much about that,... for as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words", and you can check out the photos of the project that Rex has posted. But then again, I will say, that once the electrician got the light switches hooked up, and all the lights were going full bore, the thought that initially came to my head was, ... OMG. The resulting lighting effects even surpassed my expectations for what I envisioned it would look like. Rex did an excellent job of executing the project I presented to him, and I'm looking forward to his help on future projects. If anyone would like to "inspect" my "theater room" to see what Rex has done, feel free to let Rex know, and I'm certain we can arrange a "show and tell" visit. Eric McDowell Lawrence, IN |
